Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a very popular Undergraduate Degree in India. The degree is awarded for a program in Business Administration. The duration of the program is 3 years, divided into six semesters. BBA program is designed to give essential knowledge about Management Education. The program also develops the student's entrepreneurship and communication skills.
The students are prepared to discover changes created in management career. Business Administration study methodology includes training through practical classes. The program includes case studies, industrial visits etc. BBA course also covers projects and presentations. Bachelor's degree courses in Business Administration/ Business Studies/ Management Studies are called by various names. These programs have different names like BBA, BBM, BBS and BMS.
Master of Business Management (MBA) is typically a 2 year programme which aims at making a candidate proficient in all the subjects of management and an expert for one. In first year of MBA the main focus is on giving students a brief idea about various subjects of management. In the later part of the first year they are also introduced with the specialized areas.
In the second year, student has to choose one specialization of his/her choice from the variety of specializations available. This is not applicable if students have taken admission in a specialized course (sectoral MBA). Choosing a specialization can be a difficult process for students. It is very important for student to consider their career goals and professional development before choosing a specialization.

Hotel industry involves combination of various skills like management, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operation, sales and marketing, accounting. Today, the rise in corporate activity (leading to greater number of business trips) as well as the wish to travel on holiday has made the hotel industry a very competitive one.
Eligibility & Course areas One can enter this field by direct entry or through hotel management institutes. For direct entry the vacancies are generally advertised in the newspapers and the minimum prescribed qualification is graduation with 50% marks. They are trained by the hotels themselves. But Qualified personnel's are always given a higher preference.
Minimum qualification required to go for a course in hotel management is 10+2. For certificate, diploma and bachelors courses 10+2 is sufficient. Duration of certificate courses is six months to one year. Bachelor and diploma courses are of duration one and half to three years. Those with graduation can go for post graduate diploma courses the duration of which is one year.
