Admission through CET
Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) normally in the month of April every year. Students domiciled in Karnataka can apply for this test and the allotment of the seats is done online. 45% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through CET. In addition to this, 5% of super numeracy quota seats are also made available for the meritorious- economically weaker students with the tuition fee waiver provision. Admission through COMED-K
Consortium of private colleges of Karnataka conducts this test normally in the month of May every year. Both Karnataka & Non-Karnataka students can appear for this test. 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test. Admission through management quota
25% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through management quota. Provisional admission formality starts in the month of April every year.
Admission through SNQ quota for FN/ PIO/ NRI/ students whose parents work in Gulf Countries

Academic Eligibility for B.E.
The student should have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination Get NMIT Direct Admission.
