Nationality	Resident/Non-resident Indian Nationals/PIO/ OCL are eligible to apply. Foreign candidates: They can apply directly through the foreign category only.
Age	He/She born on or after July 1, 2002, is eligible to apply. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which they will be disqualified.
Qualifying exam	Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2024 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate). Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2024 should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for the following categories: Candidates belonging to SC/ST Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
Marks needed in qualifying exam	He/She must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam. However, the minimum percentage marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states is 50%.
Year of passing	He/She must have passed the qualifying exam or should be appearing for it in 2024.

VIT Entrance Examination

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 19 and 30 April 2024 at designated centres across India and abroad (No.of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2024. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. Those who score ‘0’ in total will be declared as ‘Not qualified’ and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the merit list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination

Admission process at Vellore Institute VITEEE Low Score Management Quota Admission

Step 1: Know your rank by visiting the said portal.

Step 2: Pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.5900 (inclusive of GST) in the counselling portal before the due date specified for each phase of counselling. The payment facility will be available starting from 03-05-2024 1.00 PM. Payment should be done on the evening 5 pm of the last date.

Step 3: After payment of counselling fee, you can participate in the online counselling process, and fill in your choice of campus, programme and category.

Please note that once allotted, programme/campus/category cannot be changed.

Please ensure that you fill as many choices as possible (no limit on maximum choices) to increase the possibility of allotment.

Step 4: Based on your rank and on the availability of seat, you will be allotted a programme, campus and category on the specified allotment date.

To confirm your allotment, you have the option to pay a part of the tuition fee as stated below and the balance fee before the last date of each phase of counselling.
