About Thakur College

Thakur Junior College was established in 1992, by the founding members, with the notion of providing an avenue of learning within easy reach to the growing young population of Kandivali and its vicinity. It was a natural augmentation by the Thakur Educational Trust, for the S.S.C. Pass-out students of the various schools as well as Thakur Vidya Mandir. Thakur College had a humble beginning with only 57 students in FYJC first batch of Commerce stream. Its success led to the commencement of the Junior Science stream and the Degree College in 1997 followed by the Post Graduate section in 2002.

We sincerely believe that innovation, passion and the right technique can make learning effective and fun. Thakur College of Science and Commerce Application Process

Courses	Eligibility
B.Sc.	Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with science stream from a recognised board.
B.Com	Candidate must have passed 10+2 with some compulsory subjects including Accountancy, Business Studies, Maths/optional subject, and/ or Economics.
B.A.	Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized school/board.
B.M.M.	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream are eligible to apply.
BBM/BMS	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education any recognized institute/board are eligible to apply. Candidate of reserved category passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education any recognized institute/board with 40% are eligible to apply. Candidate passed Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination are eligible to apply.

Thakur College of Science and Commerce Placements

UG Degree (3 year) : In year 2018-19, for 3 year UG Degree, a total of 2981 students were admitted at Thakur College of Science and Commerce and 2530 completed their graduation in 2020-21. Out of 2530 students 1186 were placed with median salary of INR 190000 and 30 students opted for higher studies. A total of 2846 students were admitted in year 2019-20 for 3 year UG degree at Thakur College of Science and Commerceand 2521 completed their graduation in 2021-22. Out of 2521 students 396 were placed with median salary of INR 300000 and 288 students opted for higher studies. PG Degree (2 year) : In year 2019-20, for 2 year PG Degree, a total of 253 students were admitted at Thakur College of Science and Commerce and 205 completed their graduation in 2020-21. Out of 205 students 11 were placed with median salary of INR 222000. A total of 325 students were admitted in year 2020-21 for 2 year PG degree at Thakur College of Science and Commerceand 261 completed their graduation in 2021-22. Out of 261 students 9 were placed with median salary of INR 460000.
