The SNAP Exam, which stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, is a widely recognized MBA entrance examination conducted for admission to 15 prestigious Symbiosis Institutes located in India. Each year, approximately 1 lakh students hailing from diverse academic backgrounds such as Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, and even Law, take the SNAP Test in pursuit of securing one of the 2,500 coveted MBA seats available across Symbiosis colleges. Step 1: Shortlisting Criteria

 Entrance Exam Score Consideration

  • SIES School of Business Studies Mumbai PGDM Admission for 2023 follows a two-step process.
  • The initial step involves shortlisting candidates based on their entrance exam scores.
  • SIES Mumbai accepts scores from entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAH CET, MAT, and ATMA.
  • The shortlisting is based on aggregate scores, not sectional scores, in these accepted entrance exams.
  • Applicants have the option to submit multiple entrance test scores, with the best score being considered for shortlisting.
  • All applicants who achieve positive marks in the entrance exam are invited to participate in the GD/PI Round in their preferred city.

 SIES Mumbai Cut-off

  • SIES Mumbai does not set high cut-off scores or prescribe specific minimum cut-offs for admission.
  • The cut-off criteria depend on the quality and quantity of applications received and may vary from year to year.
  • The institution determines the cut-off based on the aggregate percentile score in the entrance exam, though performance across all sections of the exam is also taken into account.

Step 2: Final Selection Criteria

 Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD-PI)

  • The final admission selection process at SIES Mumbai PGDM Admission for 2023 consists of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
  • GD-PI rounds are conducted in 11 centers, including SIES campus in Navi Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Patna.
  • Applicants can select their preferred GD-PI center and scheduled dates while filling out the admission application.
  • The GD/PI process for PGDM admission in 2023 is scheduled for March/April at various centers.

Weightage in Final Selection

  • SIES Mumbai’s final selection is based on a merit list.
  • The merit list is prepared by awarding 35% weight to the entrance exam score, 45% weight to the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) performance, 15% weight to academics, sports, and extracurricular achievements, and 5% weight to work experience.

Step 3: Document Verification in GD-PI Round

During the GD-PI round, candidates are required to present the following original documents for verification:

  • Class Xth Mark sheet
  • Class XIIth Mark sheet
  • Graduation Mark Sheet or Last year Graduation Mark Sheet (if applicable for final year exams)
  • Degree and Passing Certificate
  • Work Experience Certificate (if applicable)

Step :4 Final Admission Offer

  • Admission offers are made based on the choice of the program and seat availability after the merit list is prepared.
  • Candidates are offered admission to their preferred program based on their merit and selection process performance.

Any Eligibility Criteria For MBA Course at SIES Mumbai ?

  • The eligibility criteria for admission to the PGDM programs at SIES Mumbai require candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of 3 years, attaining at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities in any discipline. Additionally, for the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Management programs, candidates must have studied Biology or other essential life/medical sciences/para-medical subjects either during their class 12 or graduation.
  • One pivotal requirement within the SIES Mumbai PGDM Admission Eligibility criteria is that candidates must appear in one of the MBA entrance exams, namely CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAH CET, MAT, or ATMA, and achieve a competitive score to become eligible for admission. Even candidates who are in their final year of a bachelor’s degree program or have completed the degree requirements but are awaiting results can apply for SIES PGDM Admission.
  • It is imperative for a final year student, provisionally deemed eligible by SIES Mumbai and offered admission, to furnish the mark-sheet and degree certificate of their final year bachelor’s degree examination no later than the prescribed deadline.

  2. b) Pay the registration fee for SNAP Test,
  3. c) Register for her/his choice of programme(s) offered by any Institute of SIU,
  4. d) Pay the registration fee, separately for each programme.
  • If shortlisted for a programme applied to, the candidate would then need to participate in the further admission process (GE-PIWAT) of that particular programme.
  • The registration process (including the payment of the registration fee) for SNAP and Institutes is integrated. A candidate can complete the SNAP as well as programme registration (as well as pay the registration fee) on the same portal (snaptest.org)

Eligibility Criteria for  SIMS Pune

MBA (Full-time residential)

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade at graduation level. Defence category candidates should be son/ daughter/ spouse of Defence personnel. Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Important: It is the responsibility of the Candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).   • Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process.
  • The IMI New Delhi Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.

The students of SIDTM (Formerly SITM) are encouraged to participate in Summer School and Winter School at various foreign universities and Institutes. The benefits to the students include international exposure, credit transfer, peer learning from international students, and fraternity.

Students have to apply for Summer and Winter school. The choice destinations in the last few years have been “Telecom Ecole De Management” (TEM- Winter and Summer School), France, “Berlin School of Economics”, Germany (Summer School) and International Summer School “Hochschule Bremen”, Germany (Summer school), etc.

Summer School activity is carried out during the summer (in the month of July) and winter (in the month of December) of the year. In the last 5 years, about 49+ students have benefited from this activity. This is a credit transfer program. For credit transfer: After attending Summer school /Winter school the students earn credits from foreign universities, which are transferred to SIDTM (Formerly SITM), so they get waiver/exemption from a few courses at SIDTM (Formerly SITM) (Subject to approval from SIU).

They interact with international students who are pursuing programs in management and are also exposed to different cultures during their stay abroad. The students visiting also have industrial visits and one of the highlights of TEM school is a visit to ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the Global body for the shared global radio spectrum, cooperation in assigning satellite orbits, telecommunication infrastructure, etc.

  • Those candidates who have paid their SNAP / Institute programme registration fees prior to this change will NOT be required to pay an additional amount.
  • Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection process at SIDTM (Formerly SITM), Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process at SIDTM (Formerly SITM), Pune.

Eligibility of MBA Admission at SIDTM Pune

  • Graduate from any recognized University / Institution of National Importance with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
  • Programmes which require specific discipline/ subject specialization need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.

MBA Admission Process at SIOM Nashik

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM)Nashik’s MBA Agri-Operations Management programme, Candidate has to register and pay for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) SNAP test fee Rs 2250 is (non-refundable). While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for  SIOM Nashik  in the same application form. A programme fee of Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable) is to be paid to  SIOM Nashik  for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. Based on the SNAP test scores, short-listed candidates are asked to book slots for the GE (Group Exercise), PI (Personal Interview) process for the respective programme(s).Post this merit list is declared and selected candidates are called for completing the admission process by paying fees within stipulated time window.

PGDM Eligibility criteria at XIME Bangalore

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. However, they should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course until then.
  • They should be completing all their degree examinations before 25th June 2023*. Such candidates are required to produce proof of passing the Degree examination with the minimum required marks of 50%, latest by 30th September 2023*.
  • Applicants who have un-cleared backlog papers in graduation, are not eligible to apply.

The first year of the PGDM Programme starts with a coverage of foundation subjects which impart to the students a sound knowledge of the essential functional areas of business. In the second year, the emphasis shifts to elective courses, which are designed to give the students as wide a choice as possible, to specialize in areas of their interest and acquire advanced knowledge and skills. The programme rounds off with a strong emphasis on integrative and value-oriented courses such as Business Policy, Business Ethics and Environmental Issues so as to make the student not only a competent manager, but also a socially responsible citizen. Considering the phenomenal growth and importance of IT industry, current topics related to Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things are included in the programme.

A summer project spread over eight weeks between the first and second years enables the students to put into practice many of the key concepts they will have learnt.

PGDM Business Analytics

The field of Business Analytics has assumed universal importance in the recent years, owing to the adoption of digital transformation strategy and what is termed as Industry 4.0 strategy.   • All applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT*/XAT+/CMAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
  • For PGDM 2024 Intake, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2021, CAT taken in 2022/2023, XAT taken in 2023/2024 or CMAT taken in 2023/2024.
  • All applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution and minimum 60% score across 10th/12th/Undergraduation.
  • Freshers and candidates with strictly less than 36 months of work experience as on 30th June 2024 ONLY are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with 2-3 years of work experience by 30th April 2024 are encouraged to apply for the One Year Flagship PGPM, although are also eligible to apply for the Two year PGDM.
  • In case an eligible candidate would like to apply for both the programs, they may do so by filling the application forms for both PGPM and PGDM separately. Candidates will be evaluated based on the respective program’s admission criteria. The admissions panel may also recommend the candidates for a specific program based on the assessment and program fit.
  • There will be a special preference for College / University rank holders in terms of an extra weightage gained as part of the selection process. The onus of proof of rank is vested in the applicant.

  1. SSBF offers a full-time MBA in Banking and Finance for a duration of two years.
  2. Minimum eligibility for MBA is a candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent from a recognized institute/university.
  3. Selection is done on the basis of SNAP followed by GE, PI-WAT.
