Symbiosis Centre for European Studies (SCES)
Symbiosis Centre for European Studies (SCES) is a multidisciplinary support department within Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) that was launched in January 2019 at the hands of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Czech Republic- HE Mr. Andrej Babiš.
SCES liaises with Symbiosis institutes which run academic programmes and lays emphasis on facilitating people-to-people and institute-to-institute connections with Europe, bringing the best of scholarly expertise to India, and encouraging Symbiosis students, faculty and staff mobility to Europe for research projects and learning through partnerships. SCES is envisioned to be an umbrella support system for all academic/scholarly/generic activities with European nations/institutes.
Who is eligible to apply for a Scholarship at SIBM Pune for Direct Admission?
Applicant Eligibilty
International Scholarships are only for ‘Foreign Nationals’ (Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders, NRIs and Indian students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship).
Applicants Must:
- Hold a valid foreign passport.
- Have obtained more than 50% as a qualifying grade in STD. XII Those appeared for final exams and awaiting final results should submit predicted results (in case of Undergraduate programs).
- Have obtained more than 50% as a qualifying grade in Graduation (in case of Postgraduate programs).
- Have appeared for an English Proficiency Test conducted by British Council (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6 or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 3.
- Fulfill the specific eligibility criteria (if any) of the desired program. EXCEPTIONS: This policy does not cover the following categories:

Direct Admissions Process for SIBM Pune
Stage 1: SNAP Test Registration
To gain admission to the Post Graduate Programmes offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), candidates must first go through the SNAP Test registration process. This stage involves several essential steps:
- a) Registration for SNAP Test
Candidates aspiring to pursue an MBA programme at any Institute of SIU must begin by registering for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). This registration is the first step towards their academic journey.
- b) Payment of SNAP Test Registration Fee
Upon completing the registration, candidates are required to make the necessary payment for the SNAP Test registration. This fee covers the cost associated with the examination.
- c) Registration for Choice of Programmes
In addition to SNAP Test registration, candidates should also register for their preferred MBA programmes offered by any Institute of SIU. This step allows them to express their interest in specific academic paths.
- d) Payment of Registration Fee for Each Programme
For each chosen program, candidates must pay a separate registration fee. This ensures that their application is considered for the respective MBA programs.
Stage 2: SNAP Test
Once candidates have successfully completed the registration process and made the required payments, they proceed to take the SNAP Test. This computer-based test is a crucial evaluation step in the admission process.
Stage 3: Shortlisting and Selection Process
- After completing the SNAP Test, candidates’ performance is assessed, and they are shortlisted based on their scores. This stage includes the following steps:
- Evaluation of SNAP Test Scores: The candidates’ SNAP Test scores play a significant role in determining their eligibility for further consideration.
- Shortlisting for GE-PIWAT: Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT) – collectively known as GE-PIWAT. These components are part of the selection process for specific programmes.
Stage 4: Merit List Declaration and Admission
- The final stage of the admission process involves the declaration of merit lists and the subsequent admission:
- Compilation of Merit List: After the GE-PIWAT process, merit lists are compiled for each programme, indicating the candidates who have excelled in the selection process.
- Admission Offer: Candidates who make it to the merit list are offered admission to their chosen MBA programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
