About HR College

HR College was affiliated to University of Mumbai since its inception in 1960. Due to its excellent NAAC achievements, the Maharashtra government and RUSA decided to recommend the State Government for setting up a Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Cluster University with HR College of Commerce and Economics, Churchgate, Mumbai as a lead college and two other colleges, namely Kishinchand Chellaram College, Churchgate, Mumbai and Bombay Teachers’ Training College, Colaba, Mumbai as comprising constituent colleges.

Emphasis on faculty development, academia-industry linkages, internationalization and student empowerment are the high points of this institution.

The college has achieved excellent academic standards, while simultaneously creating opportunities for the all-around development of students through sports and cultural activities.By transferring the responsibility of learning on to the learner, the college empowers students and fosters young leaders.

H.R. College was the first college in Maharashtra to be accredited ‘A’ grade with a score of 87.95% by the NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) under the revised scheme for 2002. In 2008, HR College was awarded an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC once again with a CGPA of 3.46; NAAC has awarded H.R. College with a CGPA of 3.72 on a scale of 4, the highest CGPA in India under the revised scheme and the highest score in Maharashtra till date.

Eligibility:

You must have passed your Class 12 (or equivalent) exams from a recognized board with a minimum percentage of marks, which can vary slightly depending on the year (typically around 50%). The board you passed from can be any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences).

(Old Course) or the other Semester based Programmes i.e. Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Insurance) or Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) or Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets) or Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
B.Com	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or any recognized institute/board are eligible to apply. Candidate of reserved category passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or any recognized institute/board with 40% are eligible to apply.
B.M.M.	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream are eligible to apply.
B.B.M.	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education any recognized institute/board are eligible to apply. Candidate of reserved category passed 12th/equivalent from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education any recognized institute/board with 40% are eligible to apply. Candidate passed Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
