Shri BM Patil Medical College was established by Shri BM Patil in 1986 by BLDE Association (Bijapur Liberal Development Education Association). BLDE University was declared a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and approved by Ministry of Human Resource Development. The college has all the modern facilities with lecture halls, laboratories, Seminar halls and separate hostels for boys and girls.
