MBA Programs Offered at KJ Somaiya
The two-year, full-time MBA programs allow students the unique opportunity to pursue both a major and a minor. From the second year onwards, Students are required to opt for one of the majors and one of the minor specializations. The major specialization needs to be opted for before the 4th trimester, while the minor specialization needs to be opted for before the 5th trimester. K J Somaiya Institute of Management offers students a unique opportunity to build on business fundamentals by opting for Majors and Minors. In the first year, the courses offered will strengthen the foundation i.e., business fundamentals. In the second year, the students will have the option to choose one of the 5 Majors. The choice of Major, to a great extent, will depend on one’s career goals and areas of interest. The 5 Majors offered are as follows:
- Data Science and Analytics: With data being recognized as the new oil for organizations, the specialization in Data Science aims at equipping the students with courses that will help them make sense of the data and apply various communications, statistics, human behavioral, and cognitive models along with information technology and analytical tools in functional areas or domain of their liking. The insights gained will help take current or progressive decisions.
- Finance: Finance is one of the most important areas of any economy and business. For the smooth functioning of the economy and business finance experts are required for policymaking, making decisions, and managing operations of finance. Finance specialization is offered by K J Somaiya Institute of Management keeping in mind the objectives of making the students ready to lead the finance functions of an economy or business both domestic and international.
