Bharati Vidyapeeth University’s New Law College Pune
This college has established in 1978, is the premier institute of international excellence in the field of legal education. It is one of the constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune, recognized by Bar Council of India & University Grant Commission.The College affiliation is approved by Bar Council of India through Letter No. BCI-D-1029,(2009(1-E.Mtg) Dated 7/7/2009.The college is also recognized under 2f & 12b of UGC Act 1956. The college is Re-Accreditated with “A+” Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (3rd Cycle).
The college was inaugurated in the year 1978 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice Y.V. Chandrachud the then Chief Justice of India. The foundation stone of the New Law College building was laid down in the year 2004 at the hands of the Chief Justice of India Hon. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the then judge Supreme Court of India. The new building of the law college was inaugurated in the year 2005 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, the then Chief Justice of India. The college has celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2003.

The institution offers quality legal education at undergraduate, postgraduate levels in the form of LL.B 3 Year , BBA LLB 5 year, BA LL.B. 5 Year & LL.M.(Trimester & 2 year Course) . The Moot Court Society is entrusted with facilitating mooting activity in college. International- National and in-house moot courts and Trial Advocacy competitions are organized by the Moot Court Society. Students are encouraged to participate and represent the college in various competitions. Introductory sessions on mooting are held for novice and optimum training and guidance is given by the faculty, senior students and experts in the different fields of law to the teams participating in the national international moot court competitions. - Surana and Surana National Trial Advocacy Competition
- Intra- College Moot Court competition for first and second year students.

Workshops on Mooting Skills

Intra college moot court competition for FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD YEAR BA.LL.B 5 (YEAR) AND BB.A LL.B AND LL.B 3 YEAR was held on 23rd Sep 2017.The moot problem was based on “Law of Torts.” 84 teams participated in the competition which was conducted in Three Rounds –Preliminary, Semi-Final and Final Round.The Final round was judged by Dr.Mukund Sarda, Dr.U.S. Bendale and Adv. Rajendra Anbhule
Rules for Transfer Certificate

A student of this law college who is desirous of seeking Transfer Certificate has to make an application to the Principal of Law College in prescribed format along with Transfer Fee of Rs. 100/- (one hundred only) either in cash or by DD in favor of Principal,New Law College, Pune.
The Transfer Certificate will be issued subject to clearance of college dues/fees due, if any. The rules of Bharati Vidyapeeth University shall be applicable. It is advisable that the candidate shall preferably collect the Transfer Certificate in person so as to ensure that it is delivered to the concerned person without delay & loss in transit.
Rules for Migration Certificate

The student migrating from the jurisdiction of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, to any other University shall apply for migration certificate to the University, through the Principal/ Head/Director in the prescribed application form. The concerned Principal/Head/Director shall forward the application along with the Transfer Certificate after careful verification of the documents so as to avoid unnecessary correspondence.
The application form for Migration certificate is available in the University office on payment of Rs.10/-. The student shall pay Rs.100/- as “Migration Certificate Fee” in the form of Demand draft or by cash. Draft should be drawn in the name of &payable to “Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University,Pune-30” on any nationalized bank along with the application form. Migrated student with A.T.K.T are Not Eligible for Admission.
