What’s new regarding the PES University cut off 2021? PES University 2nd cut off 2021 was released on December 10. The last date for reporting to the allotted college by selected candidates in Round 2 is December 16.

PES University offers a four-year BTech programme at the UG level. Admission to the BTech programme is based on KCET score, followed by KCET Counselling, which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The institute-specific qualifying cutoff is announced after the declaration of the KCET 2021 result to manage the seat allotment process. The seat allotment process is based on the college cutoff and the candidate’s preference for courses and colleges. The cutoffs are generally declared in two rounds of KCET Counselling based on closing ranks for each of the BTech specialisations. The cutoffs are released for home state and other state candidates, which are further divided into GM GMK, SCG, STG, etc., categories. PESU admits 40% of its students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET ranks and 60% of its students based on PESSAT (the university’s own entrance test) ranks. About Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was one of the three branches started when BMS College of Engineering was established in 1946. In the past seven decades, the department has seen a lot of progress in academics, research and consultancy. In the year 2008, the UG program was accorded academic autonomy status by VTU which enabled us to have our own curriculum to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes in students. The department boasts of three PG courses namely Construction Technology, Environmental Engineering and Transportation Engineering and Management. In addition, the department is recognized as a research center by VTU and as a QIP center by MHRD, which has changed the status of the department from primarily UG department to the research-based learning center. So far about 28 candidates have acquired a Ph.D. from our research center and more than 65 are pursuing Ph.D. and MSc (Engg.). All this was achievable due to dedicated teaching and non-teaching faculty and the support from the generous management. We have 41 faculty members both from UG & PG, of which 29 have acquired the highest qualification in the form of Ph.D. Our infrastructure has been state-of-the-art for which we thank several funding agencies apart from the World Bank funded TEQIP and the ever encouraging management. Quality of students and their achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities have branded our department as a leading center of learning, not only in India but also abroad. In the year 2014, the National Board of Accreditation, India has given us Six years of accreditation under Tier-I (Washington Accord) recognizing our academic accomplishments. The Department Mechanical Engineering was one of the three branches started when BMS college of Engineering was established in 1946. The department offers Three PG courses namely M.Tech in Machine Design, Manufacturing Science & Engineering and Thermal Engineering. The UG and two PG programs are granted academic autonomy by VTU in the year 2008 and 2016 respectively, which enabled to have our own curriculum to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes in students. The UG program is accredited for 5 years by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India under Tier-I (According to Washington Accord) w.e.f. 01.01.2014. Among three, two of the PG programs are accredited, Machine Design for 5 years by NBA during 2018, Manufacturing Science for 3 years by NBA during 2019 and Thermal Engineering is a new PG program. Initially, RIT was affiliated to Mysore University, later with the Bangalore University (until 2002) and now Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It is an institutional member of the ISTE and is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which is a must for any technical institute in India. It has been certified ISO 9001:2008 and has been accredited for quality education by the Central government of India Body National Board of Accreditation.
