About BCom Applied Finance-Analytics at Christ University
The BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics) programme at Christ University is designed with a dual focus on Finance and Analytics. This programme is specially designed to develop analytical skills in the students and enable them to think critically in making financial decisions. The curriculum focusses on combining the knowledge of Finance Economics and Statistics using Machine Learning Algorithms. The students will be able to further boost their abilities in analysing financial data given the backdrop of economic trends and also build invaluable skills. Students learn advanced courses across finance catering to careers in Corporate Finance Mergers and Acquisition Business Valuation and Modelling Investment Management Risk Management Financial planning Private equity Wealth management and Management Consulting. On the Analytics front students will learn to code programme and handle complex data sets with algorithms. They’ll learn to use tools such as Python R VBA Power BI SQL and will develop skills to interpret and convert data into valuable insights and use them to create business strategies and drive business decisions. They will also learn few courses pertaining to data science techniques such as predictive modelling optimization techniques advanced statistics and machine learning. At the end students learn about visualization and presentation of insights. The course is systematically designed with capstone projects specifically to cater to analytics-based courses in various domains such as – Retail Web and social media Supply chain and logistics Health care
Banking Insurance Finance and Accounting and start-ups where industry partners mentor and evaluate the projects along with faculty mentors. At the end of the programme the student is ready to face the futuristic world with two powerful skill sets pertaining to a highly growing field of Finance and Analytics.
BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours)
The fourth year will focus on the advanced level of knowledge in the field of Applied Finance and Analytics. The students will have project work in the final semester. The students who successfully complete the fourth year/eighth semesters and satisfy the minimum credit requirement as per NEP guidelines will be awarded with a BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours) degree.
BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics with Research)
Students who secure 75% marks and above in the first six semesters and wish to undertake research at the undergraduate level can choose a research stream in the fourth year. They should do a research project or dissertation under the guidance of a faculty member of the
University. The research project/dissertation will be in the major discipline. The students who secure 160 credits including 12 credits from a research project/dissertation will be awarded
the BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics Honours with Research) degree.

Eligibility
Eligibility for the programme is a pass with a minimum of 70% at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / State Boards) in the Commerce stream from any recognised Board in India.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2024 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

Admission Process
Selection process results will be available on https://app.christuniversity.in. Selected candidates will receive an E-Offer of admission that will be valid up to the date mentioned in the Offer of admission.
All selected candidates must note that admission is provisional and subject to University rules.
Selected candidates must download the offer of admission on the ‘Application Status’ link https://app.christuniversity.in.
To process admission
Candidates must choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate a smooth admission process.
Admission must be processed in person at the campus where the programme is offered as published in the offer of admission.
As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online/NEFT mode.
Payment options and details will be available in the provisional offer of admission.
Fees for the first year including non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 5000/-must be paid in full as part of the admission process.
Selected applicants must download the E-Admission Card and be personally present at the Office of Admissions of the selected campus with all original marks cards and one set of photocopies to be submitted for verification at the time of admission. Parents (at least one parent) are requested to accompany the student for the admission process
Class 10 Marks Statement and Class 11/12 Marks Statement (Mandatory).

Migration Certificate of Class 12 (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka state board applicants) must be submitted by 30 August 2024 (Mandatory).
One Stamp size and one passport size photograph formal dress with a white background (Mandatory).
Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt / PAN Card / Voter ID Card).
Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
· Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
· PIO / OCI have to produce a copy of the PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).
· Foreign Nationals has to submit the Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and (If available while applying)
· Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)
All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process.
