Admissions in RV College of Engineering are done as per the Government of Karnataka norms and the Admission Matrix is announced by them.

Out of the total seats 45% of the seats are filled by the Common Entrance Test conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), 30% of seats are filled through Common Entrance Test conducted by Private Management Association (COMEDK) and 25% of seats are filled by Management Quota.

A candidate applying for the BBA/BCA Program should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent an examination from any statutory board situated in India. PESIT South Campus admits students to undergraduate courses on basis of their merit in the Karnataka CET or in the COMED-K undergraduate test (COMEDK UGET). Students are also admitted through a management quota, which does not place any merit requirements. 	Bachelor in Mass Media (B.M.M.)	A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream.
B.Sc	Aided courses	A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII-Science) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination
	B.Sc-Biochemistry (Unaided)	A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII-Science) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination
	B.Sc-Biotechnology (Unaided)	A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII-Science) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination. A candidate who has not offered Mathematics and Statistics as one of the Subject at H.S.C. (Std.XII) shall have to satisfactorily complete a course on Mathematics and Statistics (of 15 hours duration) during the academic year of First year B.Sc.
	B.Sc-Computer Science (Unaided)	A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII-Science) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subject.

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure will be considered complete only when the full fees for the academic year are paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the student applicant appears on the relevant rolls. All UG and PG admissions are valid for only one year and therefore it would have to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.

The college is conferred with Gujarati linguistic minority status by the Government of Maharastra under which 50% of the seats the entry level are reserved for the foresaid linguistic minority, (after admitting in-house students for undergraduate aided courses viz.
