Symbiosis Law School also known as SLS Hyderabad is a private institute and a constituent of Symbiosis International Deemed to be University (SIU). The institute was established in 2014 at Rangareddy, Hyderabad. The institute is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with an “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). SLS Hyderabad comes under the SIU Hyderabad campus and is mentored by SLS Pune. Currently, the institute offers UG and PG programmes in the field of law. Every year, the institute admits more than 100 students to all these programmes. The institute not only focuses on the course curriculum but also takes care of gender diversity. SLS admits students from across the country, in the batch of 2019-24, 5% of the students are from Delhi, 6% of the students are from Kerala, 8% of the students are from Maharashtra and so on.
Apart from academics, the institute conducts additional activities such as training and skill enhancement programmes, industrial visits, guest lectures and moot courts in collaboration with several organisations and NGOs to enhance the skills of students. SLS also promotes co-curricular activities, and for this, the institute has various cells such as Sports Cell, Cultural Cell, Environmental Law Cell, Media Cell, Moot Court Cell and many more. One of the features of SLS is SLS Hyderabad Library and Learning Resource Centre. It is an essential component of the institute and has more than 20,000 books or journals with a seating capacity of approximately 120 students.
SLS Hyderabad Admission Process
Currently, the institute offers BA LLB, BBA LLB and LLM programme under various specialisations. SLS admission process is conducted online through the official website of the institute. SLS admissions are done as per the instructions of SIU.
UG Courses
- Admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB is based on SLAT scores
- Candidates, who have completed Class 12 from a recognised board, can apply for UG programmes
- Final selection of students will be based on the SLAT scores and the performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT)

BA LLB
The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (Honors) is a undergraduate program with a multi-disciplinary approach to cater to the requirement of the field of law including litigation, judiciary, academia, corporate legal consultation, immigration, public international law and private international law, policy engagement et cetera. The students of this integrated course will also learn the subjects of liberal arts such as English, History, Sociology, Political Science, besides Law & Economics. This program provides a strong background to step into Indian Administrative Services too.
BBA LLB
The Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law (Honors) is an undergraduate integrated program to focus on interrelationship of Management Studies and Law. Besides, the Fundamentals of Management, Financial Accounting, Effective Communication, and Computer Application are some of the main subjects of the business part of the BBA LLB (H) Program, while the Law Subjects include Law of Torts, Constitutional law, Criminal law, Civil wrongs, Administrative law, Company law, Property law, Family law, Alternate Dispute Resolution, and so on.
