The above-mentioned fee is applicable under Category I or you can say is the basic fee structure in VIT University, other than this VIT has more other Categories too – Category II, Category – III, Category – IV, and Category – V, which we will discuss next.
VIT Vellore sanctioned B.Tech Admission to its all campuses through VITEEE Counselling If your VITEEE rank is not that good and still you want admission there, in such case you can apply for direct admission on higher categories fee.
As I told above in this article, VIT University has a higher fee system for higher rank holders in different categories.
If your VITEEE rank is more, and you want admission in VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai and also, you’re ready to pay a higher tuition fee then you may get admission to any campus of VIT in your desired stream but your rank shouldn’t go beyond 1 Lakh.
Candidates with 1 Lakh+ rank in VITEEE are not eligible to take admitted into VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai Campus, there admitted admission to VIT Bhopal and VIT Amravati (AP).

VITEEE Counselling 2022 Process :-
The counselling procedure for allocating different branches of engineering is based on the All India Rank in VITEEE 2022. Eligible students must register for counselling on the website of VIT. Only the registered aspirants can attend the VITEEE Counselling 2022 round, You have to download your provisional letter for counselling fromthe official website.
Note:- Candidates with a rank between 1 and 1,00,000 in VITEEE 2022 will be eligible to take part in counselling for admission in Vellore/Chennai/Bhopal (MP)/VIT-AP. Those Candidates who will be ranked above 1,00,000 will be eligible only for VIT AP and VIT Bhopal.
Candidates must follow the below steps to participate in VITEEE Counselling 2022:
Step 1: Registration
- Candidates have to Register for VITEEE Counselling 2022 and reach on time at your counselling centre.
- Candidates will be informed through SMS or email about the schedule of VITEEE Counselling 2022.
Step 2: Document Verification
- Visit the required VITEEE Counselling Centre will all the required documents.
- Only after the successful verification of documents, you will be considered for further steps.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
- Slot and day-wise vacant seats will be updated by VIT.
- Candidates will be allotted seats as per their VITEEE rank, preference of course and college, and number of available seats. Allotment of branch and Campus is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
- The candidate must decide for certain whether he wants to join the program based on the branch allotted to him before paying the fees.
Step 4: Fees Payment
- After the confirmation of seat from the counselling authority, you have to confirm your seat by paying the course fees.
VITEEE 2022 Counseling fee
- The candidates who will be called for counselling have to pay an amount of Rs 10,000/- as Counseling fee (non-refundable).
- The same will be adjusted in the tuition fee when a candidate joins the University.
- Once the candidate’s seat will be confirmed then they have to submit the Demand Draft for Rs. 50,000/- in favour of VIT University, payable at Vellore.
- This will include the counselling fee of Rs. 12,000/-.

Document submission at the time of Counselling
Candidates must produce the following documents for verification in original along with two photocopies, at the specified VITEEE Counselling Centre. Any candidate without these documents cannot participate in the counselling process. The list of documents is given below:

- VITEEE exam admit card
- VITEEE Result Copy
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet or Hall Ticket (in case mark sheet is not available)
- Community Certificate, if any
- Nativity Certificate, if any
- Aadhaar Card
- Demand Draft
NOTE: Candidates without the DD will not be permitted to attend counselling.
