A candidate applying for the BBA/BCA Program should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent an examination from any statutory board situated in India. Eligibility (B.E.)

A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.

The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).

Entrance Exam: KEA / COMEDK

Eligibility (B.Arch.)

Admission to the Ramaiah College B Tech Courses is based on an entrance test. Candidates seeking admission must appear in the state-level entrance exam KCET. Non-Karnataka students can appear in the national level entrance exam COMEDK.

There is also provision for Ramaiah Institute of Technology management quota admission. In addition, admission under the NRI Quota exists.

Students willing to apply for direct admission in Ramaiah Institute must contact the college administration. Candidates can call the administration section or visit the college campus to contact in person.

Applicants can submit the application form online by visiting the institute’s official website.

Eligibility

For UG, The admittance to college is through the entrance test, Common Entrance Test (CET)conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admittances.

A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as specialization.

A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/ Computer science/ Electronics.

Admission Procedure

The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests that are conducted by state agencies and national agencies like CET and COMMED-K. It commences in the month of March every year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. The lateral entry (Diploma Quota) through CET is for 3rd semester and commences in the month of July/August.

Candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects.

REVA University Common Entrance Test

Appearing for REVA CET is the most crucial part of the admission process. The entrance exam application for the desired REVA University courses should be submitted with accurate information and supporting documents. With the issued hall tickets the students are expected to give in their best. The duration of the test is 120 minutes where the candidates are tested for their aptitude, language & reasoning skills in case of Law and Management and the fundamentals of higher Math and Science for Engineering. Admission

The Reva University Bangalore admission process ensures that only academically qualified students with the potential to succeed in their studies are admitted into the university. Admission to Reva University is a two-step process. The first step is to appear for the entrance exam, and the second step is the interview.

The B.Tech Reva University is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with a foundation in engineering. The program aims to provide engineering skills and knowledge to students who want to pursue an engineering career. Reva University Engineering Courses are available in various specializations.

The minimum eligibility criterion for admission into the B.Tech program is 45% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.

Admission depends on the marks scored in national entrance exams like JEE Mains, Karnataka CET, Comedk UG, and the university-level entrance exam REVA EET.

The selection process for the program includes a written test and an interview.

The Reva University engineering fees are INR 9 lakhs. Reva University B Tech fees can be paid in 4 instalments, 1st instalment at the time of admission, while the other instalments have to be paid at the start of every year.

Compared to the general fees, Reva University Management Quota fees for B Tech will be higher. Reva University KCET fees go up to INR 1 Lakhs.

Without an entrance test, direct admission to Reva University is not possible. Candidates must appear for REVA EET mandatory.

MoU between RVCE and Boston India Ltd. was signed on 20 th  May 2022 to offer a 6-monthsCertification course in Data Science. This course is specially designed for training working professionals and students on Data Science technology. The Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning department, RVCE, will coordinate the certification course.

About Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was one of the three branches started when BMS College of Engineering was established in 1946. In the past seven decades, the department has seen a lot of progress in academics, research and consultancy. In the year 2008, the UG program was accorded academic autonomy status by VTU which enabled us to have our own curriculum to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes in students. The department boasts of three PG courses namely Construction Technology, Environmental Engineering and Transportation Engineering and Management. In addition, the department is recognized as a research center by VTU and as a QIP center by MHRD, which has changed the status of the department from primarily UG department to the research-based learning center. So far about 28 candidates have acquired a Ph.D. from our research center and more than 65 are pursuing Ph.D. and MSc (Engg.). All this was achievable due to dedicated teaching and non-teaching faculty and the support from the generous management. We have 41 faculty members both from UG & PG, of which 29 have acquired the highest qualification in the form of Ph.D. Our infrastructure has been state-of-the-art for which we thank several funding agencies apart from the World Bank funded TEQIP and the ever encouraging management. Quality of students and their achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities have branded our department as a leading center of learning, not only in India but also abroad. In the year 2014, the National Board of Accreditation, India has given us Six years of accreditation under Tier-I (Washington Accord) recognizing our academic accomplishments.
