Eligibility Criteria: MBA Course at XIME

An applicant must have to appear for XAT entrance test conducted by XLRI and score 75% and above in it.

In absence of XAT, scores from CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT etc. can be considered.

The basic eligibility criteria are –

• The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (or 45% for SC/ST candidates).
• Applicants who are currently in the final year of their graduation, awaiting results and are confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply.
• However, until then, they should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course.

• XIME is one product and one placement programme. The entire placement process is centralized. The eligible students from Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi pass through the same placement process.  A brief on XAT

XAT exam 2023 will be held on January 8 and the XAT registration process is ongoing at the xatonline website. The XAT 2023 exam date was officially announced by XLRI Jamshedpur on August 8 registrations started on August 10. Registrations for XAT exam 2023 will end on November 30, 2022. The XAT exam fee for this year is INR 2,000.

As per the XAT 2023 notification, no changes have been made in the exam pattern or structure, except for the essay writing section, which was reintroduced in XAT 2022. In XAT 2022, it appeared as a section in Part 2 of the paper. However, the score of Essay Writing was not taken into consideration at the time of score/percentile calculation. It was analysed at the time of shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) round. Whether XLRI will keep Essay Writing as a part of XAT 2023 or include in the PI process will be known when the official mock test releases.

A brief on CAT

CAT exam 2022 application last date is tomorrow. The deadline for CAT registration and application form submission earlier was September 14 but it was extended till September 21 (5:00 PM). Application fee has been raised again this year. The fee for General candidates is INR 2,300 whereas for reserved category candidates, it is INR 1,150. If the registration deadline is not extended, the CAT form correction window will open after September 21.

Imphal has been added to the list of CAT 2022 test city. Candidates who wish to take the exam in Imphal can now select it as a preferred test city in the CAT application form.

CAT exam will conducted by IIM Bangalore on November 27, 2022. It will be conducted in three sessions in 150 cities across India. CAT 2022 duration will be two hours and with sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each section. Candidates will have to solve 66 objective-type questions in the stipulated time.

A brief on CMAT

CMAT exam 2023 will be held in April. The exam dates will be announced by the NTA in February 2023. CMAT registrations will begin along with the schedule announcement. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can register and fill the CMAT application form online at the NTA website for a fee of INR 2,000 (INR 1,000 for women and reserved category students).

CMAT exam will be conducted at over 100 cities across India at designated examination centres. Candidates planning to appear for CMAT 2023, must start the exam preparation at least six months before.

A brief on MAT

MAT 2022 exam will be conducted on October 8 and 10 in IBT mode. Registration for the same has started from today. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT in IBT mode can register. MAT September 2022 registration for IBT ended on September 13. MAT PBT exam date for September 2022 phase was September 4. The MAT CBT exam will be held on September 18. MAT IBTs dates are August 28, September 3, 10, 11 and 17.

AIMS Test for Management Admissions or ATMA is a national-level exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to MBA, PGDM, MCA and PGDBA courses. More than 750 management institutes across India accept ATMA scores for admission to their management programmes. The test aims to assess the aptitude of candidates, which is necessary for higher management studies. ATMA question paper comprises six sections. The exam is conducted multiple times every year. Questions in the exam are asked from Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal Skills.

The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test that assesses the candidates’ analytical writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English. The cost of giving the GMAT Exam is US $275.
