Eligibility Criteria for Btech CSE in SRM Chennai

Nationality and Age:

You must be a Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India.
If you are an NRI, PIO, or OCI card holder and haven’t taken the SRMJEEE (UG), you must apply under the International student category.
You must have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is held.

Qualifying Examination:

You must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or be appearing in it in the current academic year.
You must have a minimum of 60% aggregate (3 subjects) in Physics (mandatory), Mathematics (mandatory), and at least one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Botany, and/or Zoology as major subjects in regular stream from any board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, IB, or NIOS.

Notes:

For B.Tech programs offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering, you must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM/PMB/PCB/PCB or Z (Botany or Zoology).
If you haven’t studied Mathematics as one of the major subjects in +2, you must take an additional 4 credit courses in Mathematics during the First Year of B.Tech.
If you have completed +2 under NIOS, you must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa.
If you haven’t studied Chemistry, you must take a bridge course in Chemistry in the first year.
