SRMIST Ramapuram Btech Admission Criteria

Admission Modes:

SRMJEEE (UG): The primary entrance exam conducted by SRMIST.

Direct Admission: Candidates qualified in IIT JEE Main or SAT can skip SRMJEEE and apply directly.

Eligibility:

Qualifying Exam: Passed 12th standard (10+2 pattern) or appearing in it with:

Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Engineering Graphics/Botany and/or Zoology as major subjects in regular stream from any board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, IB, or NIOS.

For B.Tech programs offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering, minimum 60% aggregate in PCM/PMB/PCB/PCB or Z (Botany or Zoology).

Age: Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is held.

Additional Notes:

Students who haven’t studied Mathematics as one of the major subjects in +2 must take an additional 4 credit courses in Mathematics during the First Year of B.Tech.

Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa.

Students who haven’t studied Chemistry must undergo a bridge course in Chemistry in the first year.

You must be a Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India.
If you are an NRI, PIO, or OCI card holder and haven’t taken the SRMJEEE (UG), you must apply under the International student category.
You must have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is held.

Qualifying Examination:

You must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or be appearing in it in the current academic year.
You must have a minimum of 60% aggregate (3 subjects) in Physics (mandatory), Mathematics (mandatory), and at least one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Botany, and/or Zoology as major subjects in regular stream from any board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, IB, or NIOS.

Notes:

For B.Tech programs offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering, you must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM/PMB/PCB/PCB or Z (Botany or Zoology).
