About VITEEE

VITEEE Computer Based Test(CBT) conducted in the month of April and the duration of the entrance examination will be of 2 hours 30minutes. The exam will be conducted as 3 sessions per day.

PART-I Physics, PART-II Chemistry, PART-III Mathematics / Biology, PART-IV English Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English are eligible for all the B.Tech programmes offered.

Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering, B.Tech. Biotechnology and B.Tech. Computer Science and Engg (Spec. In Bioinformatics) programmes only.

The selection of subjects (Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics or Biology/English) has to be mentioned on the application form itself.

All the questions will mostly be from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus. Each part has 40 questions and English has 5 questions with each question carrying one mark. Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same. No negative marks for wrong answers. The Question paper will be in English only and Equating Methodology is used to adjust scores on test forms.

VITEEE 2024 Application Form

VITEEE 2024 application form was available online at vit.ac.in. During the VITEEE registration 2024, the candidates had to provide important details such as name, date of birth, gender, email address, mobile number, etc. Once the registration was completed, the candidates had to confirm their password and fill out the complete VITEEE application form 2024. Candidates were advised to pay extra attention while entering their date of birth (DOB) in the VIT Vellore application form 2024. The required documents had to be uploaded as per the official specifications. An application fee of INR 1,350 (inclusive of GST) – for general candidates had to be paid online i.e., through Netbanking/Credit/Debit card/Paytm.

VITEEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria at VIT Management Quota Btech Admission with VITEEE Low Score

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2024 to know the different conditions they must meet to be eligible for admission. If the candidates do not meet the eligibility, then they will not be considered for the admission process.

Nationality: The candidate should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/PIO Holder.

Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2002, will be eligible to apply for VITEEE 2024. The date of birth as recorded in the High School Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing which, they will be disqualified.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE 2024 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

The final examination of the Class 12 system of Higher Secondary Examination i.e., conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.

Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
    As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.
  • Candidates who have studied Regular, Full Time and Formal education are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination

  • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2024 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
  • The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

(a) Candidates belonging to the SC/ST Community

(b) Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

  • The certificate to prove nativity should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
  • In case, the mark statement is not produced by the candidates at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final.
  • For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO cardholders, appearance in VITEEE-2024 is mandatory to be eligible for BTech admission.
  • In case VITEEE gets cancelled due to natural calamities, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE Main 2024 scores or a valid SAT.

Subject Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying examination are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programmes.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination are eligible only for B.Tech. Bio-stream Degree programmes are as below, but after joining, registering for Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory BTech Bio-engineering, Biotechnology, CSE with specialisation in Bioinformatics, ECE with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering programmes.
  • Even though the admission is done as per the VITEEE ranking, the candidate has to fulfil the eligibility norms mentioned.

VITEEE 2024 Slot Booking

The VITEEE 2024 slot booking facility has closed. To book their preferred VIT 2024 slots, the registered candidates had to log in using their application number and password. Since the VITEEE slot booking 2024 facility was a first-come-first-serve process, the candidates were advised to complete it as soon as possible so that they could book their preferred slots. If the candidates failed to book their slots before the final date, then the authorities automatically allotted the slots as per the availability. No requests for change of allotted seats were accepted by the authorities.
