Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune admission is entrance-based. The law school offers around seven courses at UG, PG, diploma, certificate, and PhD level. Shortlisting for personal interaction and writing ability test (pi/wat) or studio test and personal interaction (st-pi):

Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT):

Please note that the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) will be conducted through ‘CBT Mode’.

SLAT will be an online admission test for 60 marks. Structure of SLAT includes 60 questions for 1 mark each covering Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Total duration of test SLAT is 60 minutes.

Online Writing Ability Test (WAT): WAT is conducted to test the writing ability of the candidate. The candidates are required to write a short essay on the topic given. The topic can be from social, political and legal domain.

Personal Interaction (PI):Personal Interaction is intended to test the Personal Attributes, inclination towards law as a career, overall personality and communication skills, Extracurricular and Co-curricular activities, and elementary knowledge of law of a candidate.

About SLAT

If candidates are found to not satisfy the eligibility criteria of SLAT 2024 at any stage, then they would be disqualified from the admission process. Failure to adhere to the eligibility requirements will lead to disqualification of the candidate, even if the candidate has scored well in SLAT 2024. The university conducts the SLAT exam to admit students into the five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes.

As per the official notification, the university will conduct the SLAT 2024 exam in two phases, on May 5, 2024 and May 11, 2024. The university conducts the Symbiosis Law Admission Test to admit students into the 5-year LLB programmes of the four symbiosis law schools namely SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur.

SLAT 2024 Selection Process

The selection process of SLAT 2024 is divided into three phases – SLAT 2024, Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The weightage of each of these selection criterion of SLAT 2024 has been mentioned below:

SLAT 2024 entrance exam: This is the first step towards getting admissions in any of the Symbiosis Law schools. Candidates interested in admissions at SIU’s law schools must first appear for the SLAT 2024 entrance examination.

Written Ability Test (WAT): Candidates who clear the SLAT entrance exam will then have to appear for the Written Ability Test. The WAT will comprise of descriptive type questions.

Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who will clear the SLAT entrance examination and WAT will be called for the Personal Interview rounds. The personal interview is the final round in the selection process of SLAT.

SLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria – Important Points

Candidates should ensure they fulfil all the norms mentioned in the SLAT eligibility criteria 2024. The table given below describes the eligibility criteria for SLAT 2024. Candidates are free to apply to whichever course they want to. However, the university advises candidates who took courses in the arts or social sciences for their 12th grade to apply for the B.A. LL.B (Hons.). Getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, or LLB, is the first step to make a bright career. It can be a 3-year or a 5-year Integrated Degree. Bachelor of Law (LLB) is a traditional three-year degree, which students can pursue after completing their Bachelors’ degree. BBA LLB or BA LLB is an integrated degree for students whose objectives are very clear. Symbiosis Law School, Pune follow the 5-year pattern under which a student is awarded BA or BSc Degree at the end of 3 years and after 5 years, an LLB degree. ELIGIBILITY for B.B.A, LL.B

Qualification: The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and awaiting for the result are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.

Age Limit: Maximum age limit for five year course is 20 years for general category and 22 years for SC/ST at the time of appearing for SET as on Saturday, May 06, 2022

INTAKE: The total intake is 300 seats [Inclusive of 180 seats of B.B.A, LL.B.
