Symbiosis is an educational and cultural center of international standards established in 1971, under the patronage of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, President & Founder Director. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.

SLS, Pune established in June 1977, was earlier affiliated to the University of Pune and later became a constituent of SIU in 2002, with an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research.

Eligibility Criteria for SLS Pune For BA L.L.B. / B.B.A. L.L.B. programmed –

Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates). Students who have appeared for their standard XII final examination and waiting for the result are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission

For L.L.B. programmed –

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students) in one attempt (no compartment). Students who have appeared for their final year degree examination and awaiting Results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date

For L.L.M. programmed –

Candidates should have a 3 or 5 years LL.B. degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognized by the UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC/ ST candidates)

Selection Procedure –

For BA L.L.B. / BBA L.L.B. programmed-

Candidates will be shortlisted for PI-WAT on the basis of the SET score. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT)

For L.L.B .programmed –

All registered and eligible candidates will be called for Personal Interaction and Writing Sample (PI-WS). Final selection shall be based on the combined merit list of All India Admission Test (AIAT) consisting of Writing Sample & Personal Interaction

For LLM programmed –

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the All India Admission Test (AIAT) conducted by the institute

Age Limit for Law Courses –

• Maximum age limit for five year course is 20 years for general category and 22 years for SC/ST at the time of appearing for SLAT.

Seats Matrix at SLS Pune –

• The total seat intake of L.L.B. seats at SLS- Pune is 300 seats per year.
• 180 seats for B.B.A. L.L.B.
• 120 seats for B.A. L.L.B.
• Separate Merit Lists for B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programmed will be prepared and published. At the time of SET registration, it shall be mandatory for the candidates to clearly indicate the programmed to which they wish to apply.
• Candidate is free to choose any one or both of the above mentioned programmed. No request for change of Programmed will be entertained at any stage.
