LokmanyaTilak National Appellate Moot Court Competition is a prestigious and unique moot court competition that our college has been organizing for the past 13 years. In LTNA, participants are supposed to argue appeals based on real life court cases in both civil and criminal domains, which emphasizes the development of advocacy skills through a realistic appellate advocacy experience. This year, moot court competition was organized on 11th April and 12th April, 2022 through online mode.

The event heads for this year were Shubhankar Malegaonkar, Atharva Golwalkar, Tanaya Kulkarni, Soumya Sharma and Kayomard Irani who ensured smooth conduct of the entire event. This time the participants were given a problem based on an ongoing criminal case. It was drafted under the guidance of faculty coordinator Asst. Prof Kaveri Deo and Adv. Susheel Atre. The case focused on criminal negligence occurring out of an accident resulting in a person’s death. The participants were to argue from both the sides. The procedure is followed for the selection of the prospective members of the Moot Court Society is very objective.

Problem is given

The problem is given which is based on actual case or sometimes the problem is imaginary one based on legal questions for the determination and argumentation by the participants.

Intra Moot Competition for Screening

Argumentation skills of prospective members are tested through the screening round. In first round their oral presentation are conducted.

Written Test

Besides argumentation skills written abilities are also tested through the written test. This facilitates the evaluation of comprehension of the participants.

Selection of Members

On basis of the score in oral presentation and written test on an average 50 members are selected as members of Moot Court Society for that academic year.

Members who are selected through the selection process represent college in various state level, national level and international level moot competition

The Online Applications are invited for CET for ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR of Five Year Full Time Regular Under-Graduate Degree Course in Law, viz. LL.B. 5 YEAR in the Government, Aided and Unaided Colleges (including Minority Institutes), University Departments and University Managed Institutes in Maharashtra State offering LL.B 5 Yrs. Integrated Course.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-LL.B. 5 YRS. Integrated Course CET-2021:

The candidate should be an Indian Citizen. The candidates belonging to the type (NRI, PIO, OCI, CIWGC and Foreign National Students) with following Academic eligibility are not required to appear for CET Examination. They must directly apply only for CAP rounds.

Eligibility for Admission for LL.B

The Online Applications are invited for CET for ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR of Three Year Full Time Regular Degree Course in Law, viz. LL.B. 3 YEAR in the Government, Aided and Unaided colleges (including Minority Institutes), University Departments, and University Managed Institutions in the Maharashtra State offering LL.B 3 Yrs. Degree Course.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-LL.B. 3 YEAR CET-2021

The candidate should be an Indian National. The candidates belonging to the type (NRI, PIO, OCI, CIWGC and Foreign National Students) with following Academic eligibility are not required to appear for CET Examination.
