The campus of BITS is divided into various academic blocks to ensure the smooth delivery of lectures to a large number of students who have taken admission for specialization in different fields of study. The library of this institute can easily occupy almost 8,000 students, while there is also a modern computer lab that is taken care of by the department of management. There are eleven different hostels for boys and one hostel for girls on the campus along with kitchen-cum-mess unit. Apart from this, the college also keeps on conducting different sports activities to ensure the health of mind & body of students

Library

The library has room for up to 8,000 students and offers 738 open-access study places and 246 open-access IT workstations. As well as the books and periodicals you expect, it is home to computing facilities for students. The library is searchable via the library catalog. But it is not only our library you will have access to – as a BITS Pilani student you can use a network of other libraries via our membership.

Hostel

The Institute is fully residential and hostel accommodation is provided to all students. There are eleven hostels for boys and one hostel complex for girls. The hostel rooms are fully furnished. Common room facilities with Cable TV and telephone are available in each hostel. Internet connectivity has been provided in all hostel rooms. Solar water heating systems are provided in all the hostels. There is a common kitchen cum mess unit for every set of two boys hostels. Girls hostel, however, has a separate mess of its own, situated within the boundary of the hostel. It is mandatory for the students staying in the hostel to have their food in the hostel messes. The messes attached to hostels are fully managed by the students.

Admission Process for Integrated First Degree Programmes: Students can gain admission to the BITS Integrated First Degree Programmes by securing a good score on BITSAT. However, please note that the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the 12th examination.

The institute also offers direct admissions to Board toppers/first rank holders of all central and state boards to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT scores,

To secure admission under this scheme, aspirants should be the topper from the science stream having taken Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects in 12th. The criteria to be considered a topper will be as follows:

Aspirants should have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects in Class 12 exam
Aspirants should have acquired the highest aggregate percentage of marks in Class 12 among all the students who have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects from the Board.
To calculate the aggregate percentage, a student’s aggregate marks should include the marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects in addition to other subjects which are required to pass the 12th class examination from the Board under consideration.
The marks of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry should be considered in the aggregate irrespective of whether the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects are identified as main/optional/elective in his mark sheet(s).

BITSAT (short for BITS Admission Test) is an online (computer-based) entrance examination for admission to integrated first-degree programs of BITS Pilani (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad campuses). BITSAT is being conducted since 2005 and is one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams in India.

For appearing in BITSAT 2022 no special computer skills are required. It is the candidate’s competitive ability in physics, chemistry, and mathematics which will help them secure a place in BITSAT 2022 Merit. The degrees earned from BITS Pilani are considered equivalent to degrees awarded from any other recognized university or institution.

Note: BITSAT 2022 scores will also be used by the NIIT University for admission to their B.Tech programs.
