Progressive Education Society’s, Modern Law College, Pune

The Modern Education Society, Pune was established on 15th February 1932, to meet the demand for education by the residents of the eastern part of the city of Poona. Due mainly to the efforts of its founder, Prin. V. K. Joag, and to the munificence of the Wadia brothers, Sir Cusrow Wadia and Sir Ness Wadia, the Modern Education Society came into being as a regular registered educational Society formally at a meeting of it’s founder members at the Cowasjee Dinshaw Library Hall. It was at this meeting that the First Senate of the Modern Education Society was formed and the Senate decided on the recommendations of it’s Finance Council and Academic Council to establish from June 1932, a college affiliated to a University in the Poona Suburban Area.

Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad is a fully residential campus. There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls with security personnel and e-surveillance. Qualification: The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.
Age Limit: The candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for SET as (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates i.e. 22 year).

RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS:-

The institute strongly emphasizes research and publications through various research projects and in-house journals, which are being published in collaboration with LexisNexis. SLS, Pune has state of the art facilitities including SCALSAR (Symbiosis Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Reseasrch Centre, consolidates PG Studies, Doctoral Studies and Research Projects). It contains well-quipped 3 faculty rooms having separate cubicles, examination department, accounts department, administrative department. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors with internet and Wi-Fi services. SLS, Pune provides a well-equipped, moot court hall, with the seating capacity of 200 and a multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity of 200. It also provides a conference room with the seating capacity of 50. Video conferencing facility is available in all these rooms.

Combination of both the degrees

BBA LLB is a five-year Integrated course. After completing this you will become a graduate in management as well as a graduate in law. If you do both courses separately it will take 3 + 3 = 6 years. Application Procedure for BBA LLB at Symbiosis Law School

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA applicants should adopt and complete the following procedure:

The applicant must register online for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Examination, 2017.

Selection Procedure for BBA LLB at Symbiosis Law School

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the SET score.

The short-listed candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) at the college campus.

NOTE: Final Merit list shall be drawn on the basis of SET Score (50%) and PI-WAT performance (50%). In other words, it will be based on the cumulative marks scored on the scale of 100 marks wherein the SET score will be scaled down to 50 marks i.e. 50% weightage and the remaining 50% weight-age will be assigned as follows: Personal Interaction (PI) – 30 marks i.e. 30% and Written Ability Test (WAT) – 20 marks i.e. 20%.

Eligibility for BBA LLB at Symbiosis Law School

The candidate should have passed the 12th (10+2) standard examination from any government-recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. / S.T. students). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of a passing certificate by the notified date.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through the Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course.
