CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Bcom Strategic Finance Programme in Christ University

The Bcom (Strategic Finance Honours) programme was introduced in June 2018 as a three-year undergraduate degree programme that caters to commerce aspirants who desire to build their professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics – skills that are in demand by organizations around the world.

In line with NEP 2020, the Bcom (Strategic Finance Honours) Programme was converted to a four-year degree programme from the academic year 2023.
